Card Game named trash

As we learned how to play a new card game that our staff Holly looked up. She showed us how to play. We liked it a lot because it was fun and educational. The game takes a while to finish that is because you start off with ten cards and down to one card.

  1. You shuffle two decks of cards if it's three or more players but only one deck of cards if it's one or two players.
  2.  Each players gets ten cards
  3. line the cards in two rows of five without looking at them
  4. the player who starts first they can pull from the discarded pile or the top of the deck
  5. The player who went first can't go again the person on their left goes first.
  6. how do you win a round? If one person wins the first round they get 9 cards on the next round and the rest of the players stay on ten cards
  7.  the game takes a while to play and its very time consuming but you can stop anytime you want.
  8. kings and jokers are considered as wild card
  9. A queen and jack means you lose your turn and goes to the next player
  10. you go in a counter clockwise or clockwise

Welcome to the Garden

On our 1st day of gardening we meet Greg. He works for Grassroots Garden. He gave us gardening gloves to help keep our hands clean.  Greg showed us what tools we would be using; a shovel, a bucket & a trowel.  We each grabbed a shovel got to digging! We moved dirt from 1 bed to another using the buckets. Once it was filled with fresh soil, we started to plant the vegetables. Greg showed us how to make straight lines and mounds of dirt for seeds to be planted in. He gave each of us a ruler to correctly measure out the distance between the seeds. We planted beets, spinach & turnips. After that we pulled weeds from the front flower bed. We found snails, worms and ants. A LOT of ants!!! Fun Fact: Dandelions are not flowers but actually weeds. We had a lot of fun getting to work in the community garden and helping the neighboorhood look beautiful.

Aquarium of Niagara

We drove to Niagara Falls for a girls day with Holly and went to the Aquariam of Niagara. Before we went inside of the aquariam we saw harbor seals being fed by the staff at the aquariam. While we were there we ate outside the aquariam with a nice view of Niagara Falls, after lunch we saw the penguin encounter and heard a Q&A talk about the penguins. We learned about the new penguins that were there. After we saw the penguins, we went upstairs to see the sea lion show and the sea lion named Mia was being trained on behaviors in the water. The trainer's name was Katie. During, our visit to the aquariam we learned different but interesting facts on the fish, amphibians, and reptiles at the aquariam. While we were looking around the aquariam we looked at the amphibians. One of the amphibians we saw was an axitole which looked similarIties to a salamander. Another thing we saw at the aquariam were poison dart frogs that were tiny spotted frogs, some which were black and blue while others were black and green. The reptiles we saw were little tiny turtles that were spotted and poisonious in the tank. We also saw a shark sucker. We went upstairs to learn what it was and what it does. We learned its scientific name, it's called a Remora and it attaches itself to another shark to clean off the bacteria.  Lastly, we saw the brand new exhibit called Aliens of the Sea, also known as jellyfish. The Upside Down Jellyfish was one of our favorite parts of the exhibit.

We did a scavenger hunt throughout downtown Buffalo. I had fun doing this with my staff Holly & Tiffany.  We got our 1st clue and we were off!!!  Each one we get leads to another historic part of downtown. Some parts are timed so we need to be quick. When we arrive at the correct spot we look around at signs or at a statue and enter info from it in the game. We finished in 13th place and got 2110 points!!!!. Total time was 1 hr & 29 mins.  It was a lot of fun!!!

We went to the SPCA to see all the animals. There were pets like dogs, cats and some farm animals. Such as horses, pigs, chickens and rabbits. When we went to the SPCA we saw Noah.

When we went to the SPCA  we came up to Noah the dog I got a kiss from him.   Noah really loves me.  Holly took a picture of me getting kissed. It was really fun.  I loved it there.  We saw some different dogs and cats but the favorite part of the outing was when I got kissed.  It made Holly smile so big that I smiled too!!!.
